Saturday 1st Feb 2014: Llys Jasmine

With literally 24 hours notice a few of us managed to head over to Mold to show our support for Llys Jasmine residents on Dignity Action Day. Llys Jasmine residents and their relatives got together on Saturday 1 February to enjoy a 'Digni-tea' in support of Dignity Action Day 2014. Dignity Action Day (#DAD2014) is a national initiative led by the Dignity in Care Campaign and its key partners to bring staff and members of the public together to make a difference to those in care. In the words of Joan Bakewell who supports the campaign: "Dignity Action Day highlights a more respectful way of behaving towards vulnerable people. The very old and the very young clearly need our respect, but it wouldn't do any harm to spread the dignity message across the population then we can all benefit." We had a lovely time with the residents and their families and hope we have the pleasure to sing for them again in the future.
